We are just about ready to leave for our trip! Everything is packed and Dave will be home from his softball game soon and jump in the shower, we'll load the car and GO!!!!
So, just a few short updates, Libbi is healing really well, the swelling is down considerably and she is in no pain, no more bleeding from the cut. The bruise even looks a heck of a lot better.
My interview with the local school is Thursday at 9 am. I am really going to make this the best interview EVER!!!!!
We were having lunch today and Dave had the British Open golf tournament on tv. The girls were asking where it was and then somehow the conversation turned to accents. Abbi was trying to tell us that Libbi had an accent, she couldn't remember the word...then it hit her and she said "My sister Libbi is half redneck because of the way she talks". Oh my gosh, we all just about fell off our chairs laughing, even Elizabeth, as she thought it was so funny. Thing is, there are so words she says that makes her oh so (as I blush, cringe and oh so wish it not for this otherwise dignified mother) REDNECK!!! She says words like "all of y'all", "fixin'" (translates in the south to about to do something where most of us use the word going), and so forth. She is my little dignified redneck and so proud of it! She has such the true southern accent.
It is 102 degrees outside, without the heat index....YOUCH! Gas prices have gone down just a bit, $3.89 a gallon. That's down 10 cents in the last week.
I'll type about our "date" to the play last night, it was really good!
